A Blended Scotch, can be composed of different whiskies of varying ages, cask types and grain types. HOWEVER. There are instances where a single Scottish distillery have produced a blended scotch whisky from their own as distilled malt and grain spirits and then blended them. As the SWA do not have a recognised category for these 'Single Distillery Blends' they have been included in this 'Blended Scotch' category, examples include Loch Lomond and the Borders Distillery. “Blended Scotch Whisky” means a blend of one or more Single Malt Scotch Whiskies with one or more Single Grain Scotch Whiskies.
